Jack already has a number of medals tucked under his belt - two gold medals at the pony European Championships and Team Silver at the Junior European Championships.

Jack is part of a real British showjumping dynasty. His father Michael Whitaker and his uncle John Whitaker have competed in equestrian jumping for Great Britain at the Olympic Games, with both winning a silver medal in the team event at the 1984 Games in Los Angeles. At least 10 of his cousins, and another uncle, Steven, have also competed at an elite level in jumping.

Last week Jack left the brisk British springtime for some sun and waves on Miami Beach. The vibrant surroundings must've rubbed off on Jack and his two rides Izara Des Dames and Skyfall OS, finishing top ten in every class they entered. The highlight of the week? Jack and Izara Des Dames sailing into second place in the 5* Longines Global Championship Grand Prix. The competitive class really put the new pair to the test, and they certainly rose to the challenge!
